Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician program at North Seattle College is seeking applicants for part-time Pharmacy Technician instructor positions to teach any of the following courses: Pharmacy Law, Orientation to Pharmacy, Pharmacy Calculations, Pharmacy Records Management, Over the Counter Drugs, Pharmacology, Sterile Products and Aseptic Techniques, Communication in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technology, Ethics and Medical Terminology. Class assignments may include day, evening, hybrid, and/or online.

If invited for interview, you will be required to do a teaching demonstration of some basic principle or concept.

Candidates should be willing to teach in a variety of formats such as in-class, hybrid, online and varied class times including days, evenings, and weekends according to program needs.

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by AFT-Seattle.

Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered Washington State Pharmacist license (to teach Law and Pharmacology) or current Washington State Pharmacy Technician license and work experience in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated classroom or training experience
  • Experience working with or serving diverse populations or teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Ability to use technology effectively

Physical Requirements
Ability to perform a range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
